HOW TO REACH THE DBB
How to reach Pavia and the DBB
Pavia si located close to Milano (some 30 km to the south of Milano). As such Pavia is easily reached from Milano, by car and train. The DBB is just outside Pavia, in the so-called “Polo Universitario Cravino” which is the University campus that hosts the scientific Faculties of our University. The area is the same where the city main hospitals are and you can see it below as a Google map.
The street address for the DBB is via Ferrata 9, 27100 Pavia, Italy.
BY CAR
The typical access to Pavia is by the highway system, generaly with the A7 – Milano/Genova or the A21 – Torino/Piacenza.
A7 – Milano/Genova. Either coming from Genova or from Milano the exit to Pavia is the same: “Bereguardo – Pavia Nord”: Once you exit the A7 you will have a 10 Km drive to reach Pavia. Approaching Pavia take the direction “Tangenziale Ovest” and then the exit named “Istituti Universitari”. Once you get out of the Tangenziale Ovest you will be a the rotatory that you can see in this map, across via Adolfo Ferrata. There are several parking lots and the DBB buildings are in the area labeled “Dipartimento di Genetica e Microbiologia” in the map.
A21 – Torino/Piacenza. Coming from Torino take the A7 at the A21/A7 junction named Tortona, then follow the A7 headed to Milano and get out at Bereguardo – Pavia Nord, and follow the instructions as above.
If you are reaching Pavia by car but not using the highway system, the easiest option to reach the DBB is again to take the Pavia Tangenziale and follow the direction (A7 – Milano/Genova). The exit to the DBB is Istituti Universitari.
