Master’s student in Molecular Biology and Genetics selected among the winners of SIGU’s “Bando Giovani Studenti” 2026

Sana Tanveer, a first-year student in the MBG Master’s Degree Programme, has been selected among students from across Italy for the 2026 “Young Students Grant” promoted by the Italian Society of Human Genetics (SIGU).

Sana carries out her research activity in the laboratory of Prof. Natalia Pellegata, as part of a project funded by the Heal Italia Foundation (BAC ALT-CAN).

As part of the award, Sana received a travel grant and free registration to the XXIX National Congress of SIGU, which will take place in Rimini from 7 to 9 October 2026.

Attending the congress represents an important opportunity for training and for exchanging ideas with researchers and professionals working in different areas of human genetics.
