"Role of the mTOR-downstream effector S6K in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Neurological Manifestations"
Stefano Fumagalli
Director of Research INSERM,
Institute Necker Enfants Malades (INEM), Paris
Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a disease caused by constitutive
activation of the mTOR pathway. The presentation will concentrate on
the contribution of the mTOR downstream effector S6 kinase (S6K) in a
mouse model of the disease and on the role played by one of its
substrates, the potassium channel TREK1, in the neurological
manifestation of TSC.
