PhD Programs

As part of the research activity at the DBB, the PhD course in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology (GBMC) is provided.
The PhD in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology was born in 2011 from the merger of three previous PhDs which, successfully and for several years, have played their educational role in independent sectors of Biology: Genetic and Biomolecular Sciences, Cell Biology and Pathology and Genetics.
The DBB participates with numerous professors in this Doctorate, including the coordinator, Prof. Davide Sassera.
In addition, professors from the Department of Clinical Surgical, Diagnostic and Pediatric Sciences, the Department of Molecular Medicine and also researchers from the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the National Research Council of Pavia (IGM-CNR) participate in the doctorate.
Several professors of the DBB actively participate in the following research doctorates in other departments:
- PhD in Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology (IUSS) (coordinator Prof. Andrea Mattevi)
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences (coordinator Prof. Antonio Pisani)
- PhD in Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Health Technologies (coordinator Prof. Silvana Quaglini)
