STEM women's garden 2022

Two more trees were planted in 2022:

• a hackberry, on the occasion of the international day of women and girls in science (February 11), dedicated to Eva Mameli, a graduate of Pavia in Natural Sciences and who was the first female professor to access the chair of Botany.
• a maple, during the European Researchers' Night 2022 (September 26), dedicated to Rina Monti, ecologist and limnologist, first woman to obtain a university chair in the Kingdom of Italy. The students of primary school of San Genesio and Mirabello (PV) were involved in choosing the scientist to whom to dedicate the tree.

First tree planted, Celtis australis, in memory of Eva Mameli, first female professor to access the chair of Botany.

Second tree planted, an Acer platanoides, in memory of Rina Monti, the first woman to obtain a university chair in the Kingdom of Italy. The students of the primary schools of San Genesio took part in the event.
