We would like to point out the hackathon organized for students by the SYNLAB Group in collaboration with Cariplo Factory entirely dedicated to “Ageing Population and Chronic Diseases-AI, cybersecurity and data science to improve patients' life”.

The hackathon will kick off with online educational and inspirational sessions, held from October 28 to 30, 2024, featuring a variety of speakers.

Afterwords, the hackathon will continue with two face-to-face days, on November 5 and 6, 2024, at the Milano Innovation District.

Students can apply individually or in teams, testing their skills to develop innovative solutions. Students are invited to develop an innovative solution within the thematic areas of Chronic Diseases, Ageing Population, Patient Care Management. Solutions must integrate one or more of the identified enabling technologies (AI & machine learning, Platform/app, Data science) with special attention to the data security of the patients who use the solution.

The event will take place at the same time as 20 other European cities, in the context of the Innovation Days of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology, with the support of expert mentors in Design Thinking and speakers from important companies in the Healthcare and Digital sectors.

The winners of the 20 European cities will compete at the Winners' Event, which will be held on 28-29 November in Budapest, the final stage of the competition that will reward the most innovative and brilliant proposal at European level.
